  okay, i know what *my* deal is.

  i'm kinda stuck in a life that i really see no way of escaping.

  a big part of my deal is that i was raised without a dad who walked out on his family and so i have it in me to be the dad my dad never was.

  Teejay, What a lovely,considerate reply- you're right of course; i'm sure all this is very confusing for him... I WAS very adventurous and an extrovert then, after becoming 'involved' I tried to tone myself down a little; but it's hard to amble when you want to RUN and dash from one interest to another!I guess he has the old me back and maybe he liked the inbetween one that he could subtly control by my OWN rules-I just wish he liked the happier me...i'm sure he.s going to leave soon anyway,just a matter of time; but at least the children have me back and I guess he'll never know how much fun it could have been...I really hope your wife finds something to question and pride won't stop her from investigating.You could always ask your wife for 'equal consideration'... perhaps your daughter could go to the kh on alternate weeks and spend alternate weeks with you at home doing alternative sunday morning activities!I hope all goes well with you x termite

  Teejay;nice to speak to you...the marriage thing is so odd for me because my husband never has or will be a jw; he opposed it all for years, then, when i see it for what it is, I now realise that i'm a threat to him in some way; I just wish he'd be as happy for me as I know some posters here would be if their wives saw them for what they are; sadly i'm getting crap for 'HAVING PUT HIM THROUGH ALL THIS FOR NOTHING' I can see the point, but this attitude is starting to wear a bit thin; it's been going on for 5 months now and i will only take so much...If I ever wanted to lose so much self respect and feel like crap, and get spoken about in a derogatory way by all his friends who find it so self righteously funny; i've gone about it the right way!My come uppance for being a tosser I guess!!!Take care x

  What do you think will happen when all the FDS die

  i'm not planning anything..... but when they all pop off, what are the rest going to do?they think the ns will come before they all die, so how the heck will they cope with it ,scriptually speaking/ surely cause a few to 'desert'?

  there was a thread a few days ago about elders being up graded to fds status by some out of context crappily applied scripture;do you think they'll explain the absence of god's action with' the fds is still here!.

  or will they work everyone up into a horribly humiliating fever pitch of protelisizing ,the like of which we have yet to see?

  Thanks Everyone for so much info; I too, had forgotten (or was I not listening?!as if...)about the Given Ones.I think you're right about yet another moving of the goal posts; what a no-win situation; most too young to have personal memory of events to compare doctrine with, and the older ones may have too much pride to lose.Personally I feel that they'll have to be eventually 'stumbled' by all this as wer'nt we told that the change in the Generation teaching meant that the end was, in fact, NEARER not further away.(that was slipped in neatly to make you feel better about it straight away!)And all this introducing of the next load of FDS'Sin waiting will just drag it all out to unbelieveable lengths of time.Some brother near here a while ago announced he was suddenly annointed; and everyone accepted it as NOW it made sense!(they are so spiritually perceptive arn't they?!)So, hopefully the time issue will get some thinking ;oh yes, I nearly forgot ;apparently according to an elder in another cong. tells all that if any annointed falls away ;jehovah always has another in the wings, so to speak!But EXTRAS rather than UNDERSTUDIES, that may be hard for a few to swallow.But then, as the alternative is being slandered as loosing your faith or being spiritually weak unfortunately they'll probably just wait on jehovah.At least you've got the false prophet argument to back you up; soon it will be the only one you'll need!!!!xx

  Hi Teejay,Hey, if you were blind you wouild'nt be able to 'see' us, but we'd still be friends would'nt we?! It dos'nt matter if we're online or in front of you-we're still 'real' to eachother which is lovely.I refused to give up on my non jw friends( OR opposing.It's a mess to be honest, something to do with the moving of goal posts I expect.I want LIFE TO DELIGHT AND SURPRISE ME, so much to see and do, so little time... hubby seems to like me better when i was content to wait for the NS ; don't get me wrong, i'm not going crazy or anything, just want to enjoy everything i do and take delight in everyday ; my education is off and rerunning, i'm super fit now, need to be happy and busy and Iguess he dos'nt like me TOO happy!So maybe your marriage is fine the way it is; mine was. XXX But i can't go back to being subservient; and i'm not exactly Germaine Greer !!!

  I went out for lunch today, and there was one on the next table to me !! can't remember his name, but it was a really weird situation as i was reading stuff i'd printed out from here. I was expecting him to come over and start an informal witness; that would've given him indigestion for a while!
